Happy Fourth of July, Baby!!

This years Fourth of July will forever be a memorable one! We had a pretty exciting one here in Boston! This post may be a little longer so brace yourselves! :)

The company had a barbecue for the 4th of July! It was a lot of fun having everyone together! We went to the park that is about 2 minutes away from our apartments, which made it nice!

Me & Becca had to go get all the food for it so of course it was delicious!!! :)

The park had a basketball court so we thought it would be fun to have a little game! We had to shoot for the teams so apparently me and Jeff were on opposite teams....but...I was on a good team ha! It was me, Becca, Brittany, Mike (Brittany's husband), & Stevey! Our first game we played against Jeff's team and beat them by one! We then played another team that we beat as well, so we had to have a rematch with Jeff's team and we were neck and neck but then Jeff made the winning point! It was so fun to play, it definitely was a workout! We were all sweating pretty bad because we all got into it.....well I kind of was the one running around since I'm not that great at basketball ha but Brittany was something else; she made a lot of the points!

After the barbecue we went home and cleaned up and were ready to go out on the town in Downtown Boston! This is us driving to the subway in the back seat of the Lowe's car :)It was a little squooshy but it worked ha! Luckily the subway is like five minutes away from our apartments! (Becca was the one taking the picture if you can tell with just her EYE in the picture ha) This is Brittany, Mike and little Ty riding on the subway to Boston. Ty was so excited to be on the train....look at that smile on his face! He's such a stud!

Me & my cute HUBBY!Down in Boston they had a concert going on with Jazz bands playing, and the wonderful RASCAL FLATTS were there to play a few songs! I was going crazy because I am an absolute fan! I have always wanted to go to their concert, I was so excited! The only problem was there were half a million people walking the streets and waiting for the FIREWORKS so it was sooo crowded! We were unable to see the stage but we sure did here them!! We had so much fun!

This is what the streets looked like after the fireworks! It honestly was like a riot! There were half a million people walking the streets with cars all around trying to get through. People would just stand in front of cars trying to make them mad and having everyone walk in front of them...I honestly thought something was going to happen! The air was all smoking because of the fireworks and people were jumping fences to get to the other side of the road!!! It honestly was something else! With having sooo many people out for the fourth of July, made the parking lot a little tricky getting out! Lets just say we had to park on the top level of the parking lot of the subway which means we were the last to get out! Well we had a few things happen to us while we were up there! First, we were waiting for 45 minutes without even moving a centimeter. And second, Steveys car dies because we were listening to the ipod with the car not running. So we were pretty much stuck there. Luckily our friends the Killpacks were in their car on the other side of where we were and had jumper cables! The guys asked the car, who were an older couple, that was in front of us to help us out and they honestly said they wouldn't and to find someone else! Okay who really says they will not help you to jump a freakin car!!!! And the fact that they were not going anywhere for the next HOUR! We were all like what the heck? But luckily the guy behind them was willing to help! Well after that little drama happened we got the car started!
On the side that we were on, there was an exit but was blocked off for some reason and cars had actually gone through but were just stuck there so it was backed up a lot! The police finally had come up to our level, Brittany & Mike went over to talk to them, they said that last year they were there til FOUR IN THE MORNING, we definitely didn't want that to happen!! So they told them that cars had gone through that exit and have been stuck at the bottom because of it being blocked off, so they hurried and went down and unblocked the road!! So everyone hurried and jumped in the car and we reversed and got out of there! We didn't want to be there any longer, especially the fact that the guys had to go to work at 9 in the morning the next day!!!

We were so excited to finally be moving and on the FREEWAY ha ha! We got home around 1:15, at least its better then 4 in the morning, right??? It was a night to remember that is for sure! What we learned out of the whole thing is first, not park on the top level on a big night, and second, help those who are in need and not turn away from them like the older couple did to US!!!
